The Crowther Centre Monographs are a new initiative aiming to promote missiological research at a serious and accessible level. These will be occasional publications addressing current issues in mission. They aim not only to inform but also to transform as writers present a summary of the implications of their research.

Stephen Bevans is currently Louis J.Luzbetak, SVD Professor of Mission and Culture at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago, USA. He is a Roman Catholic priest in the Society of the Divine Word, as international missionary congregation, and served for nine years (1972-1981) as a missionary in the Philippines.
