Neema Crafts Elephant Dung Cards
Truly unique, these greetings cards are made from hand-made elephant dung paper, screen printed and hand painted with African animal designs. Also available in an all-over African print design. Left blank inside for your own message. Animals available: Single giraffe, 2 Giraffes under tree, elephant, lion, zebra, lizzard.
These beautiful, exclusive cards are sold in assorted packs of five (colours and designs may vary from that illustrated). Envelopes are included and each card is individually wrapped in cellophane.
The Neema Crafts workshop in Iringa, Tanzania, founded by CMS mission partner Susie Hart, specialises in making beautiful hand-made paper products from recycled paper and natural fibres - including maize husks, pineapple leaves and even elephant dung! They also offer a wide range of handmade jewellery, woven and patchwork goods. All of the highly-skilled artisans are young deaf people who would otherwise have been marginalised by society.
