Footsteps to the Feast
12 two-hour children's programmes for Christian festivals and special times of the yearThese two-hour programmes are ideal for special events or after-school clubs, picking up on Christian festivals and special days of the year including Advent, Easter, Harvest and Halloween.
Experienced children's worker Martyn Payne provides background information for each festival, with warm-up activities, Bible basis, ideas for storytelling, drama, music, crafts and prayers. While all the component parts of the programme are important, the primary aim is to share God's word with children and to provide an opportunity to come close to God in worship.
Formerly National Children's Work Co-ordinator for CMS, Martyn has wide experience of working with schools and churches to explore ways of opening up the Bible with children. Martyn is a trained teacher, an experienced workshop leader and has collaborated with children's advisers and education officers in major school, church and family events across the UK.
