Jews, Palestinians, Christians, and Muslims are caught up in the songs' search for peace, justice, and reconciliation in a beautiful yet strife ridden land.
Polished, hard-hitting lyrics form the steely backbone of 'Backbone', fleshed out in smooth melodic vocals from the two Jonnys, Baker and Birch, and the seductively sweet voice of Laura MacGregor. Moody trip hop beats and some seriously funky basslines keep things rolling, shot through with haunting Middle Eastern and eastern European musical references.
